Amazon Prime needed, ₹399/yr. This is not a card fee and the bank does not charge it, but the card's best rate is locked behind it. Without it, Amazon pays 3% instead of 5%, and the card is then free outright. Prime Shopping Edition at ₹399 a year is the cheapest plan that qualifies. Amazon ticks the Amazon Pay card cashback against that plan, Prime Lite at ₹799 and full Prime at ₹1,499 alike, so there is no reason to buy the dearer ones for this card. The cost is counted against amazon only, so every other category is ranked as the free card it is.
