Earns Kiwis · assumed 0.25 ₹/point. 1 Kiwi = ₹0.25 (4 Kiwis = ₹1), fixed by Kiwi's published rewards policy. Unusually for an Indian co-brand currency this really IS cash: Kiwis are redeemed into the bank account linked to the customer's UPI handle at any time, with no redemption fee and no travel or catalogue lock-in. So the 1.5% headline is broadly honest, unlike Scapia Coins. Frictions are a 500-Kiwi (₹125) minimum and redemption only in multiples of 500. The bigger real-world haircut is structural: Kiwis accrue only on whole ₹100 multiples per transaction, so a ₹199 UPI payment earns the same as ₹100. Heavy small-ticket UPI users realise meaningfully less than 1.5%.

EMI0% to 2% of the transaction converting afterwards, ₹299 plus GST at a merchant processing fee · A converted purchase stops earning rewards · ₹299 plus GST at a shop, or up to 2% when you convert a bill afterwards. Minimum transaction is ₹1,500 and tenures run 3 to 36 months. Closing early costs 4% of the amount being closed plus GST. · EMI-on-UPI transactions earn Kiwis only when no interest-back or no-cost-EMI offer is applied. With a no-cost EMI offer they earn nothing
Fuel surcharge1% waiver on fuel transactions of ₹500 to ₹3,000. YES Bank has not published a per-cycle waiver cap for the Klick card. Sources quoting ₹250/month predate the June 2026 revision. Fuel spends earn no Kiwis either way.
Domestic loungeNone on the lifetime-free card. Paid Kiwi Neon (₹999 + GST/year) unlocks one domestic lounge pass at each of ₹50,000, ₹1,00,000 and ₹1,50,000 of annual eligible spend. A maximum of 3 per membership year. Each pass admits the cardholder only (no guests), caps the stay at 2 hours, is claimed by scanning a boarding pass in the Kiwi app, and expires 6 months after it is unlocked.

UPI spending1.5%Kiwis earned per calendar month are capped at 1% of the card's credit limit. The cap resets on the 1st · 6 Kiwis per ₹100 on UPI Scan & Pay (QR / P2M) for cards issued via the Kiwi app on or after 4 July 2024. Kiwis accrue only on whole ₹100 multiples of the transaction. Also worth knowing

  • Kiwi is a FINTECH APP, not a bank. The product is a virtual RuPay credit card issued by a partner bank, applied for and managed entirely in the Kiwi app, and rewards accrue only on payments routed through Kiwi. The underlying card used outside the Kiwi app earns the bank's own (much thinner) programme instead.
  • ISSUING BANK, RE-VERIFIED: this is NOT an Axis Bank product any more. Kiwi's own site names exactly three partner banks. YES Bank 'Klick' (modelled here), AU Small Finance Bank 'KOSMO', and PNB. All lifetime-free and all on the same Kiwi earn rates. Axis Bank was an original 2023 launch partner ('Axis Kwik' / Axis Kiwi) and now appears nowhere on gokiwi.in except inside an exclusion clause. Legacy Axis Kiwi cards keep working but new applications do not go to Axis. Anyone still publishing 'Axis Bank Kiwi' is repeating the 2023 pairing.
  • Bank-level charges differ by partner, so forexMarkupPct and fuelSurchargeWaiver above are YES Bank-specific. AU's Kiwi card advertises a 1% fuel surcharge waiver capped at ₹100 on ₹400 to ₹5,000 transactions. AU's and PNB's forex markups could not be verified from an issuer document and are unknown.
  • STILL BEING ISSUED. No pause, no RBI action found. Live promotional terms on Kiwi's rewards-policy page run through August 2026, Kiwi closed a $24M Series B in Aug 2025, and it reports 200,000+ RuPay cards issued since 2023.
  • The Klick card is 100% VIRTUAL. No plastic is issued. So there is no card-present swipe and no routine ATM withdrawal.
  • THE MONTHLY CAP IS SELF-CONTRADICTORY IN KIWI'S OWN T&C and could not be resolved from the issuer. The base rewards policy and the legacy Neon page cap 'Kiwis' at 1% of the credit limit, which on a ₹1 lakh limit means 1,000 Kiwis = ₹250 of value a month. The current Neon membership page instead caps 'cashback' at 1% of the credit limit, which on the same limit means ₹1,000 a month. A 4× difference. Milestone cashback is explicitly outside the cap. The conservative reading (₹250 on a ₹1 lakh limit) binds the base card to roughly ₹16,700 of rewarded UPI spend a month. Reviews quoting 'capped at 1% of your credit limit' without saying 1% of WHAT are at best half a fact.
  • Kiwi Neon (₹999 + GST/year, effective 1 Feb 2025): 2% on Scan & Pay, 0.5% online, retroactive milestone top-ups to 3% / 4% / 5% at ₹50,000 / ₹1,00,000 / ₹1,50,000 of annual eligible spend measured from the enrolment date, 3 lounge passes, and up to ₹100/month of rewards on other cards and bank accounts used in the Kiwi app. Milestone cashback is paid on the last day of the month after the milestone is hit, and Kiwi's own worked example excludes online spends from milestone-eligible spend.
  • 'Pay 1/3' no-cost EMI: any UPI payment can be split into 3 instalments. YES Bank charges its normal EMI interest and Kiwi credits the interest back as cashback, so the customer's net interest is nil. But the transaction then earns no Kiwis.
  • YES Bank repriced its whole credit-card portfolio from 15 June 2026: Klick forex markup 2.75% → 3.50%, cash withdrawal fee 2.5% or ₹650, overlimit facility reinstated at ₹550 + GST from 1 June 2026, and card reissuance ₹199. Paisabazaar, BankBazaar and several review sites still say 2.75%. Including a page carrying a 30 July 2026 date stamp, a good illustration of why auto-dated pages should not be trusted for a number. The 3.5% rests on CardInsider rather than an issuer document (YES Bank's own MITC endpoint returns an HTML shim, not the PDF), so treat as high-confidence but not issuer-verified. It matters only in the abstract, since the card earns nothing on international spend anyway.
  • TWO OF KIWI'S OWN MARKETING CLAIMS ARE MISLEADING. Its homepage sells 'Bill payments. Pay bills & get rewarded', but utilities, telecom, insurance and government MCCs are all on the excluded list in the same site's rewards policy, so bill payments earn nothing beyond occasional discretionary 'surprise rewards'.

Other exclusions

  • Gift cards (MCC 5947) and direct-marketing MCCs 5960-5969 earn no Kiwis
  • EMI-on-UPI transactions earn Kiwis only when no interest-back or no-cost-EMI offer is applied. With a no-cost EMI offer they earn nothing
  • Quasi-cash and financial-institution MCCs (6011, 6012, 6051) earn no Kiwis, and the Klick card is virtual-only so it has no normal ATM cash access
